What happens if it's raining during my scheduled time?

Your outdoor session can be conveniently re-scheduled within a few days.  If it is overcast, the clouds give excellent lighting for photography.

Can I bring my own props?

We actually encourage seniors to bring along numerous items that represent their interests. Sports gear and equipment, trophies/ribbons/awards, candles, fresh flowers, sports equipment and uniforms, band uniform and instrument, vehicles, pets, cell phone, laptop, chairs, band instruments, friends, hobby items or just about anything can be added into to portraits to make them your own and reflective of your personal style and flair. If you bring a pet, have a carrier ready and/or a friend available to bring the pet home again. You won't want to be worried about the pet as we are trying to finish your session. Vehicles that will be in a portrait should be washed before the session. We also encourage choosing the location to match your interests.

How many outfits can I bring?

We encourage you to bring along numerous outfits as we offer UNLIMITED CLOTHING CHANGES. A comfortable recommendation would be 4 or 5 different looks, but if you are a fast changer, feel free to bring as many as you like (but don’t forget you will be changing on location and may not have all the amenities of home). The only limit that we have is the amount of time available according to the package that you have chosen. Be sure to bring your favorite outfits as you probably look your best in them. Your suit or a formal dress are interesting looks to bring but don’t forget those items that make you “you”, such as your favorite Jersey or Letterman’s jacket. For our athletes we encourage you to bring all your gear, right down to your cleats or pads.

If you are in sports, remember to bring your helmet, skates, stick, ball or puck and all other accessories for your uniform so we can create the best look. For outdoor portraits, we recommend blue, green, or aqua colored shirts with jeans, or brown shirts look great with tan pants. Browns and blues are recommended colors as they compliment skin tone. Avoid white clothing and hats for outdoor portraits as white tends to get too bright and can become more prominent and brighter than your face. White clothing is fine for your indoor portraits. Clothing that has writing, logos or bold patterns can draw the viewer's eye away from your face, so try to avoid it.

Make sure your clothes are cleaned and ironed.

Don't forget jewelry, accessories and matching shoes, as they also show in the portraits!

What are Composite Images?

Composite Images are artistic creations combining one or more photos together and adding borders or text. The text may be your name or graduation year and the photos can be numerous poses shown together on one photo. These composites are very popular and we specialize in creating them.

Can I have a friend in my portraits?

Absolutely, we do not charge anything extra to include a friend in a few of your portraits.

What about my hair and makeup?

Hair should be clean and fixed but not overdone, some of your portraits will likely be very informal and your hair may look too formal in these settings. Your makeup shouldn't be too heavy, heavy makeup can accentuate lines and acne as well as create an unnatural appearance. Acne can be lightened or removed with photo retouching. Your makeup shouldn’t be any different than what you would do if going out.  We do recommend that you apply some makeup for eyes, cheeks and lip to enhance your look, even if you don’t typically wear them. This might be a great time to experience a day of beauty and have a professional enhance your look before your shoot.

Do you have any advice about clothing?

If you have a letterman's jacket that you are going to wear in your portraits, have it dry cleaned before your session. Sports uniforms sometimes need to be checked out weeks in advance, check with your coaches long before your session to schedule the checkout. Be sure your clothing is clean and ironed, it is difficult to remove wrinkles with retouching. If will be wearing black pants, remember to bring black shoes and socks. A white dress shirt and tie look best under hockey jerseys.

When do I pay for my session?

The cost of your session will be due the day of your session. There is no booking fee. Cash or Check are both acceptable forms of payment.
